What is Tantra Yoga?


Tantra yoga is a form of yoga that uses many aspects of science to reach higher levels of philosophy in our lives. It is like the study of everything around us from each individual’s point of view. Tantra yoga is supposed to bring together vast areas of knowledge of human beings and use it for our betterment. It asserts that we can be enlightened and learn to use tools to rise or transcend above the basic aspects of humanity.

The study of Tantra yoga focuses more on the resolution of all opposites. There are many Tantra in which we learn a lot from but these can not be learned from books instead the knowledge are supposed to come from within and it comes with enlightenment. The person who practices Tantra yoga focuses on expanding his or her consciousness in order to be better able to view or experience supreme reality.

The Practice of Tantra Yoga Meditation

The devotee of the Tantra yoga should calmly sit on a smooth surface and try to rid his heart and mind of unseemly desires and untoward thoughts. As the Tantra yogi directs his mind to feeling for his life force, it should be felt in his spine like a swelling of power from the tip going up to the forehead.

It takes ability and practice to go further in the Tantra yoga meditation because you will need to direct the gathered life force in your forehead outward to form a body of energy several feet away from the yogi. The person who practices Tantra yoga will then try to expand the light or energy force in front of him until it is dense and as big as a person.

As soon as this happens, the yogi will have to direct feelings of love and devotion towards the life force. The life force in this meditation is a representation of the devotee’s essence and soul. This meditation is like a form of loving oneself through enlightenment. After around half an hour, the life force is encouraged to go back to the Tantra yoga devotee’s forehead, back down to the spine again.

The renewal of yourself can be honed to perfection through constant practice. Tantra yoga is often misunderstood by some as a sexual form of yoga that encourages the cleaving of two individuals. This is far from the truth, and people should beware of so-called gurus who try to pass off Tantra Yoga as a sexually inclined form of yoga.
