Another reason summer is perfect for a kitchen remodel simply because of the warmth. You won’t want to eat out all the time, and that means nice weather is prefect for a barbeque. You also have to think about the paint drying, and that happens faster in warm weather. Also, it’s okay to leave the windows and doors open to let those fumes dissipate. In winter, it’s not that easy. Also, if you have people going in and out all day, they aren’t letting out your heat. They may be letting the AC out, but powering an air conditioner is often cheaper than heat. Even if you have to wait a few months, you’ll be glad you waited for summer.

You also have to think about the extent of your kitchen remodel. If you know it’s going to take a while, and you are at ease with that, you may think you are ready for everything. However, when the kitchen remodel is extensive, you are going to lose more than just the use of your kitchen. You have to remember that the dust is going to carry. That means plastic in doorways and over furniture in nearby rooms. That also means tools and appliances may also show up in those rooms. Unless your kitchen is near the garage and in easy reach, you may have to give up more room than you first thought.
