Collectible Teapots - article about Collectible Teapots

I recently found some collectible teapots that are very endearing. This particular collection involves an Alice in Wonderland theme that is perfect for such items. I also stumbled across a group of Disney collectable teapots that brought back warm memories of childhood.

I think that the Alice in Wonderland theme is so perfect because the tea party is such an integral part of the tale. It is also my very favorite part of the story. When I first saw the Alice in Wonderland collectible teapots I immediately remembered the story. I hadn’t thought about the book or the cartoon for many years.

The collectible teapots brought back fond memories from my childhood. I remember my mother reading the story to me at bedtime over and over again at my request. I think about the mirrored room and Alice’s journey with clarity when I look at eh collectible teapots in this collection.

The Disney group is not as near and dear to my heart but I love the designs in this collection. The faces of the characters serve as the foundation for the collectible teapots. This whimsical design feature is endearing because you almost look at them through the eyes of a child.

I always wondered why my grandmother bought collectible teapots. Now I understand. Her generation was one that took teatime seriously. She probably dressed up and created an imaginary tea party among her dolls and stuffed animals. Maybe she had a special friend who would meet her for these get-togethers.

My grandmother is very fond of Victorian décor and the theme of a tea party has always been a favorite of hers. We had a Victorian tea party for her 70th birthday and she still talks about it today. We didn’t use her collectible teapots in the party but we did supply her with plenty of others to add to her stash.

I used to look at her collection of tea pots as a mass of clutter. I wondered why anyone would want to gather up so many items that just accumulate dust. After seeing the collectible teapots that brought back those memories from days gone by I think I finally understand.
