Is There Really A Connection Between Human Pheromones And Sexual Attraction?
Human pheromones are natural chemicals produced by the body that are thought to cause the attraction between opposite sexes. While it is believed that there is some connection, the real analysis lies in how much do human pheromones and sexual attraction depend on each other. What Science Thinks
Scientists have determined a marked difference in the pheromones between males and females. This is how they got labeled as male and female pheromones. It has also been looked at as to why there is a gender specific pheromone for each gender.
Scientists, however, do not see as big of an importance for sex pheromones in humans as they do in other species. Animals, for instance, rely heavily upon smell, while humans do not. Sex pheromones in animals are much more important when it comes to sexual attraction. Humans just do not rely that heavily on their sense of smell, so the importance of human pheromones is minimal.
What Others Think
Makers of synthetic human pheromones believe that they are very important in sexual attraction. In fact, these manufacturers sell these synthetic pheromones on the basis that they will help a person attract someone of the opposite sex. These synthetic hormones are used as a perfume or put in a perfume.
The idea is that by supplementing a persons own pheromones they will become more attractive to the opposite sex. The manufacturers say they have proof that human pheromones and sexual attraction are linked. They show customers who buy again and again and will testify that the pheromones work. They also claim research into the link between human pheromones and sexual attraction that have been conducted in their labs.
Human pheromones and sexual attraction has never been 100% proven. Neither science or researchers form manufacturers can say beyond a doubt that human pheromones can help someone get a date. There is nothing conclusive to prove that human pheromones and sexual attraction are linked so heavily. The only proof is that in animals that is the job of these gender specific pheromones, so it is assumed they work the same in humans. Yet, many people swear by using the synthetic pheromones to get a date. It is all a matter of personal experience, really, until science or researchers can prove otherwise that there is a definite link between human pheromones and sexual attraction.
