Fine Cooking Magazine is an outstanding resource for anyone who enjoys spending time making great meals. It is also a great resource for those of us who don’t know our way around a kitchen as well. This magazine has just about everything you could want in a culinary publication.

One of the most important articles for me is one that provides helpful tips to fix Thanksgiving disasters. I was thrilled to see that someone from Fine Cooking Magazine was thoughtful enough to come up with solutions to holiday problems. We all have been faced with an awful dilemma during one Thanksgiving dinner or another. It is nice to have a checklist of solutions to many of the typical problems we face.

I like to keep this particular article on hand during other holiday festivities as well. You never know when something is going to go dreadfully wrong. Having a quick reference for solutions to party food problems is wonderful. This is especially true if you need to keep your cool.

The quick fix article isn’t the only feature in the Fine Cooking Magazine that has been of great help. I used to work for a caterer in spite of my meager culinary skill. Of course, I was on the organizational end of the spectrum instead of the food preparation end.

Unfortunately, my training was one that taught me to deal with lager crowds. After my husband and I married, we started to host many intimate get-togethers with friends and family. I had great difficulty organizing for smaller parties. I consulted Fine Cooking Magazine and found a great resource full of ideas for small occasions.

Scaling things down to smaller parties was easier than I thought it would be and the great ideas in Fine Cooking Magazine helped me create a wonderful, intimate atmosphere for our guests. I may not be the best cook on the block but you would never know it. I find that Fine Cooking Magazine is filled with so many helpful articles, ideas and recipes that I can pretend to be a great chef. Actually, with this resource at hand I might be.
