Not Everyone Sees Abstract Photography In Same Form

To many people abstract photography that is recognizable and have little or no interest in the work the photographer put into capturing the image. The definition of abstract is almost as elusive as the subject itself with it being more of a personal representation of an object as seen through another perspective. It is this perspective that is often hidden from anyone other than the photographer. A close up picture of a flower, for example has been done numerous times as a still life image. With abstract photography that same picture with a slightly blurred image, and hotter color tones might be considered an abstract by some, but still recognizable by other viewers.

Too many times the subject of abstract photography remains hidden making the picture worth something only to the photographer. It will probably remain in their collection and go unnoticed if put on display in a gallery. For abstract photography to really be noticed it should be able to capture the attention of the viewers and allow them to see some image or an idea represented by the art.

Real Objects Seldom Seen In Abstract

One of the most basic definitions of abstract photography is that it represents an object or is a figurative example of the idea of the object. One constant about this art form is that it is a truly individualized interpretation of what the photographer sees and their attempts to have others see the same thought represented. Unfortunately, there are time when the photographer can easily identify their individual abstract, the viewing public may not see the picture in same context and view it as a failure.

However, it is not always the photography who went to far with their abstract photography as some viewers who cannot easily identify the object in the picture or the representation of the image, they quickly turn away from the image without trying to understand the message being represented. It is fine line those involved in abstract photography must walk to have their message easily identifiable while maintaining their integrity in creating a figurative representation of their images.
