License Plate Frame

You may see them on a lot of cars, and they are a popular way to either advertise or perhaps to show support for one cause or another. Many people like to get a license plate frame to go around the outside of their license plate. These can be plain, and may come on the front of a car for states that require a plate on both ends of the car, like New York, or for people who may want to put a vanity plate on their car for fun.

Some people who sell cars will include a license plate frame with the car when you buy it. It will be up to you if you want to leave it there or not. This license plate frame that comes with your car will most likely be an advertisement for the car dealership. They may have the name of the dealership on it, or it may simply have a logo if they are very successful in your area and their logo might be all that is needed. They may also place their phone number or other business information on there.

You can find a license plate frame with just about anything on it, and you can also get them personalized. If you have a hobby or a favorite sports team, you may be able to find a license plate frame to show what you love. If you are crafty, you can find plain ones that you can paint and seal on your own to put around your license plate. If you find that you are really good at it, you may have found a great way to make a little extra cash. Just make sure if you do this that you are careful never to make any money from any copyright protected images or ideas.

You should always check with your state if you aren’t sure if you are allowed to use a license plate frame on your car. Some states, like Pennsylvania have a registration sticker that must be placed on one of the four corners of the plate. You cannot a have a license plate frame that covers up this sticker in any way, or you may end up getting pulled over time and time again. Call your state DMV if you aren’t sure, and ask them what you can use and if there are any restrictions before you go out and get one.
