A mistake is letting your ten month old play with the remote control to your TV and then spending the next three months trying to reprogram it so you can hear your shows in English once more.

Sure, you want your child to like you, but the harsh reality is that you are your child’s parent, not their friend. You have the responsibility of keeping them safe and raising them to be responsible members of society. Sometimes you have to be the bad guy. Don’t let a day go by without telling your children that you love them. Childhood passes in an instant and the opportunity to tuck them into bed and shower them with hugs and kisses is fleeting at best. Tell your children that you love them each and every day and they will take that knowledge into their adult years.
