Is Horse Back Riding Sexy?

I've always been extremely jealous of horse back riders, even during the fleeting years of my youth when I was able to join them in all-too-brief horse back riding lessons. My vision of heaven is being able to go horse back riding all that you want and not have to worry about paying for it or for the management of the horses. I also think heaven is where you can eat all the ice cream that you want, but that's the subject for another article. One of the reasons people love horse back riding is that it is just so sexy.

Madonna, Is That You?

Horse back riding apparel has an apparent sensuality that is hard to deny, whether it is worn by a man or a woman. In order to feel your horse's body movements, you need your pants (or breeches) to be as tight-fitting as possible. Breeches, jodhpurs or jeans should be so tight that they look like they are painted on. These tight clothes can make you feel very naked.

And then there's the leather. Even man-made leather still has the look and the apparent disciplinary connotations of leather boots, whips and harness. It's hard to say which came first � horse back riding or the horse back riding fetishist. However much you can argue about how effective the tight pants and leather boots are for communicating with your horse, keeping your balance and not chafing, there will still be people who will think you are only riding out of kicks.

And Madonna hasn't helped matters for serious horse back riding by going on her 2006 tour with stirrups, leather boots and whips. When she moved to England, she tried and fell in love with horse back riding. Ever the diva, she used the public's popular perception of horse back riding as being somewhat kinky to he advantage.

Is It Kinky?

Horses have traditionally been the embodiment of sensual and generative energy from prehistoric times. Their skin and intimate anatomy is very similar to that of humans. When you ride, you do have them between your legs. However, after a few minutes of horse back riding, any feeling of sensuality soon falls away in screaming muscles and waterfalls of sweat.

Any feeling of kinkiness is also expelled when your horse decides to suddenly charge into a tree, toss you into a patch of poison ivy or ignore you completely and just stand completely still, making you look like a complete moron.
