Bamboo Curtains - article about Bamboo Curtains

I have faced a conundrum for a long time. You see, I am an extremely light sleeper. When we had a mouse infestation, I was worried about it not because of the sanitary problems it presented, but because the tiny scratching and scampering would keep me up all night. Even the slightest creak of the house settling could wake me up and make it difficult for me to get back to sleep.

The neat thing about using bamboo shades is that they combine the beauty of window curtains with the effectiveness of blackout drapes. In reality, the bamboo curtains that I use actually block out more light than even blackout curtains or Venetian blinds. If there is one drawback to bamboo curtains it is that they have a very specific decorative feel. When I first got them installed on my windows, they did not go along with anything.

You see, another one of my quirks is that I am a very particular person when it comes to decorations. I need everything to look a certain way. It is not that I have one idea that is unchangeable, but just that the different elements of decor must fit together exactly in my house. I liked the way the bamboo curtains looked, but unfortunately they did not go with anything else. That meant that I had to redecorate the whole room.

Fortunately, the redecoration project turned out to be a blessing in disguise. You see, I liked the way the bamboo curtains looked so much, I decided to redecorate the whole room in bamboo. I got bamboo dividers, bamboo shelves, and even a bamboo rug. All in all, the effect is stunning. Although the project was a difficult one, I always like having the chance to redecorate. The bamboo curtains let me do just that. I would not say that bamboo curtains are for everyone, but they certainly are a durable, attractive, and affordable option for covering your windows.
