Attractions in Oklahoma

Oklahoma is an agricultural-based state, with many attractions contributing to this. The Murray County Annual Tractor and Implement association host a three day show filled with farming wonders. Also, Livesay Orchard and Apple Hollow are fruit-inspired attractions that are sure to delight any family. Livesay Orchard sells a large variety of home-grown fruits and vegetables. Apple Hollow is a one-of-a-kind apple-inspired shop that offers many unique gifts. Oklahoma tourism also has a large Native American culture and thus they have many Indian-inspired attractions.

The Black Kettle Museum is packed full of Cheyenne-related history. The rock that is known to have healing powers to the Osage and Quapaw Indians is known as the Healing Rock located in Skiatook. Of course, Oklahoma also has many theme parks such as Frontier City and White Water; these attractions are located in the state’s capitol, Oklahoma City.

Also, Oklahoma tourism wouldn’t be complete with the array of cowboy and western museums. The Cowboy Hall of Fame, located in Oklahoma City, and the Chisholm Trail Historical Museum, located in Waurika, are both fun and educational. Oklahoma’s tourism industry has certainly grown.

Other than hotels and motels, Oklahoma’s tourism industry offers a variety of western, antique, and family-friendly places to stay. The Old Hotel Bed and Breakfast, located in Sayre, was originally built for railway people but has since them been remodeled and is now a quaint B&B. The Cimarron Bed and Breakfast, in Keyes, also offers a country style experience. Bridgeview Resort, in Madill, is a great family-friendly resort. This resort specializes in church parties, family reunions, and any other get-togethers.

There are many cabin-rentals places such as Mountaineer Cabin Rentals and Cardinals Nest Cabins, in Oklahoma. These places are great for vacations and other events. There is also a very lavish luxury-home retreat known as Beavers Bend Creative Escapes. This wonderful resort offers luxury vacation homes; these homes can have anywhere from one to three bedrooms. Naturally, there are quite a few cottage-rental places as well. A fine example is the Hidden Hills Hideaways while staying in the cottages you can discover the secrets to the Table Tops, located in Foster, Oklahoma. All these wonderful places to stay have helped make Oklahoma’s tourism industry what it is today.
