American painters recently painted my house which was in sore need of repairs. Before I called the American painters company, my house looked like a total dump despite the considerable amount of money which I had invested in it. The outside of my house had a thick layer of grime ground into it that even a rainstorm, or a pressure hose would not wash out and when the American painter I talked to said that it would need to be scraped and have an entirely new coat of paint, I can't say that I was exactly surprised. But the American painter foreman was nice and gave me a very reasonable estimate, and soon the whole American painters team was hard at work on my house.
When hiring American painters or any other people to do work on your house, it is important to know that you are working with a reputable company. An American painter will typically bid on the house as a contract, so the American painters have no real incentive to take their time and do their work properly, except for the pride that they take in their work. Many American painters often do a hasty, sloppy job to get it over with and do as many jobs as possible quickly, and so, even if they tarnish their own reputation, they will always have the option of finding new work with people who do not know them. But the American painters hired gave me references, which are very important to obtain, and I was able to call people and confirm that they were as good at what they did as they claimed to be. What a relief it was to know that! The American painters took about a week to do the whole house, inside and out, which is not at all bad. People say bad things about the American work ethic – that American painters will do anything just to avoid working harder than they absolutely have to, but I think the opposite is true. American painters work harder than their counterparts in any other country, who are more likely to be relaxing, taking vacations, and enjoying themselves whenever they get a chance, instead of diving with obsessive single-mindedness into their work to the exclusion of all else, the way an American painter does. It may be more fun to live other places, but you sure can't find a better country for a strong, persistent work ethic.
