Health And Fitness Training For Baby Boomers


A terrific way to extend your life expectancy by 30% is by establishing and maintaining, a daily health and fitness training program. This program should include both your diet and exercise goals.

A good way to start is take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror with no clothes on. The tricky thing here is that you can be at a good normal weight, but your body fat content can be very high, thus putting you at a high risk for a heart attack. The other chance is that if you are overweight you probably are at risk for Type II Diabetes.

Diet

The reason baby boomers have such huge rates of heart disease and diabetes is they consume an average of six hundred cans of pop and a hundred and fifty pounds of sugar every year. Think about it, this works out to be an average of fifty-five teaspoons of sugar, per person, per year. Not only do you have the above risks, but all this sugar has to make you nervous and a little bit jumpy every day.

The first thing you must do is stop drinking soda pop, and quit adding sugar to your morning tea or coffee. Drinking three cups of hot coffee or tea in the morning is highly recommended, both to help you wake up but also to keep your digestive system regular.

You must also eliminate all junk foods from your health and fitness training diet, since it contains dangerous levels of additives and chemicals. Only natural foods, those that have not been chemically altered, should appear on your diet. Dark chocolate has also been proven to be beneficial to the diet.

Finally, your health and fitness training plan should include drinking eight bottles of purified water throughout every day. Never drink tap water or water from a community drinking fountain again, since both sources contain high levels of germs, lead, arsenic and other poisons.

Exercise Daily As Part Of Your Health And Fitness Training

Every day you should get some sort of aerobic exercise that elevates your heart rate and makes you sweat for at least thirty minutes. This will allow your blood vessels to be cleaned out, as well as toxins to be released from your body while you are sweating.

Every other day you should do some type of weight training as part of your health and fitness training regimen. This can be either in the form of free weights or weight machines. This will not only make your bones stronger, but will give you a new confidence level in yourself.
