The pills taken for chemotherapy can also cause hair loss, so you will want to make sure that you are aware of the drug your doctor is putting you on and of the possible side effects before starting on it yourself.

What to Expect

When it comes to cancer hair loss, it is going to be important that you know what to expect and are prepared. After all you may not think that your hair is all that important until you have the face the possibility of losing it, and if you have cancer and are about to undergo chemotherapy, hair loss is one of the possible side effects.

Basically whether or not your hair falls out from chemotherapy is going to depend on a few personal factors, including what type of hair you have and how far along your cancer is.

Can it be Avoided?

One of the hardest things with this type of hair loss is that there are not as many options in terms of treatment, because you are already taking chemotherapy medication.
