My girlfriend and I enjoy going to Las Vegas together. We make the trip every year. The first few times we went we stayed at different hotels along the strip. One year a travel agent told us that we could get Las Vegas packages for our trip. This would provide us with great savings on our flights, rooms and also meals and entertainment. We decided to purchase the Las Vegas packages, even though it meant staying at a hotel that we had not been at before.

The Las Vegas packages included a charter flight. We received coupons for discounted parking at the airport. The flight was uneventful. We arrived in Vegas on time. We had been told that the Las Vegas packages included room check in at the airport. We went to the kiosk and inquired about the hotel room. We were registered and given the keys for the room prior to our luggage being in the claims area. We caught a cab to the hotel and were able to go straight to our room without standing in line to check our bags or to register. It was only ten o’clock in the morning and check in is usually not until three o’clock in the afternoon. We put our bags in the room and freshened up then decided we would go eat breakfast. The information that we received with our Las Vegas packages instructed us to get a players card to use while gambling. The player’s card would earn points that could be used towards meals and items in the hotel gift shops.

We signed up for the player cards and discovered that we could use the same card in four casinos. We were told that there are kiosks located in each of the casinos that will let you know how many points you have accumulated on the card. You can then print out certificates for the different restaurants in each of the casinos. The worker that was helping us stated that it did not take long to accumulate enough points for meals. The casinos that were listed included two that we enjoy gambling in. We played slot machines and did some shopping and then returned to the room to rest a while before going back out for the evening. We looked through the Las Vegas packages while we were visiting in the room and found that we had a two for one coupon special for one of the shows at the hotel. Between earning meals through gambling and the discount tickets from the packages, we had a very inexpensive trip. We have decided that we will purchase the Las Vegas packages each time we go.
