Charity Donation

Though you can give at almost any time during the year, many like to make a charity donation during December. This seems to be the time when people are feeling most generous, and it is also the time when help is need the most. What you should remember is that you don’t have to give money to make a difference. There are many other things you can do and give that will help those who need it the most. Some will require you to give of your wallet, and others will require you give of your time. Most of us have at least a little of each that can make a difference.

If you want to give a cash charity donation you can give almost everywhere you turn. You can give to the Salvation Army if you see one of the red kettles near you. When you go out in December for any reason it is hard not to see one. You can give your pocket change if you want to, and you should know that this would make a difference. Though that type of charity donation doesn’t seem like a lot, you might be surprised to know how fast it adds up. My small community donated over a hundred thousand dollars through the kettle campaign this December.

You can give your time as a charity donation. You can man one of those kettles if you want to, or you can give your time at a food kitchen or another type of donation center. You can also find other ways to give, just make sure that your charity donation is indeed going to a good charity. There are some scams out there so you should never give to anyone until you have made sure that they are a legitimate charity. You can find this information online.

You can give a great charity donation throughout the year if you love animals as well. Give your time and money to your local shelter to help animals that cannot help themselves. Each year my daughter and I go see the Wiggles. They have a character named Wags the Dog, and each show the children bring Wags bones. Because Wags gets so many bones he cannot possibly eat them all, and he allows my daughter and I too take what he cannot eat to give as a charity donation to the animals in our local shelter. You can find many great ways like that to help those who need you the most whether they are human or animal.
