So who made the cellulite sneakers? They were created by Swiss engineer Karl Muller and originally known as Masai Barefoot Technology sneakers. The “cellulite sneaker” name was added some time later.

How does it work? You may not be walking like an Egyptian, but you will walk like the barefoot ancestors that were herding cattle all over modern-day Kenya before the pyramids were built. The shoes were designed to improve posture and work the little used intrinsic foot muscles. Apparently those babies cause more of a work out for your abs and butt.

The anti-cellulite sneaker will run you in the somewhat unfamiliar athletic shoe neighborhood of $250.00 a pair. But, if they do what many are claiming, will be much cheaper than cosmetic surgery. One particular study coming out of Great Britain claimed one woman saw her cottage cheese decrease by as much as fifty percent in about one month.

Do not be too surprised when you see these beauties; because that is just what they are not, and rather ironic that a shoe loved and coveted by so many for reasons of vanity would be so unattractive. Jeans and workout clothes may be okay, but do not expect to match your cellulite sneakers with wool pants or a black cocktail dress. You may end feeling more comfortable just wearing your old painter sweats and an oversized t-shirt.
