Fun With Free Animated Greeting Cards

When our family moved, instead of sending out paper moving cards, we made use of free animated greeting cards. We selected cute little flash cartoon characters, each with a picture of one of our faces on it. The free animated greeting card showed us loading up our possessions into a oversized and overburdened dustbowl era truck and puttering off down the road with billows of smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. It was quite an amusing card, and it gave everyone the message that we were going to a new house. With so much to do, It was nice to not have to worry about mailing cards out. Getting the message out to everyone was just a few clicks away.

Of course, there are animated free greeting cards for almost every occasion. Some of the birthday cards out there are pretty spectacular. One of my favorite animated greeting cards sites actually has very sarcastic avatars that you can use to tell jokes about the birthday boy or girl. The only thing better than making your own snappy comments about your friend growing older is having an adorable animated dog do it for you. Not only will you brighten your friend's day, but you will get a chance to zing him at the same time.

If you are pretty adventurous and skilled at using the computer, you can come up with your own flash animated greeting card. You'll be surprised how easy they can be to make. Essentially, the hardest thing about making animated greeting cards is coming up with an original idea. Making the characters, setting the scene, and even recording the sound are all pretty easy on today's modern PC or Apple.
