The elderly still need their exercise in spite of their age. In fact, they need it more when they grow old to prevent their muscles from deteriorating from not being used. There are exercises for elderly men and exercises for elderly women with heart disease which are specifically recommended for them.

The condition of the individual must be considered when choosing the right exercises for elderly women with heart disease. Having heart disease means they can not strain themselves or over exert themselves in any way that may tax their hearts. The right exercises must be accompanied by the suitable duration of the exercise and the warm up before the exercise.

Walking

Some recommended exercises for elderly women with heart disease are brisk walking or just plain walking. Which of the two exercises is good for a specific woman will depend on how active the woman is at the moment and her history of exercises. Walking is a great form of exercise because you can pace yourself according to your degree of fitness. You can also start slow and then slowly increase your pace as your body gets used to the exercise.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an oriental form of exercise that utilizes slow movements and control of the muscles. This has been practiced for several centuries already and many people have reaped the benefits of this form of exercise. This is one of the highly recommended forms of exercises for elderly women with heart disease as well as for men also. Tai Chi can help strengthen muscles and also promotes better balance and fluidity of movement.

Stretching Exercises

Stretching exercises for elderly women with heart disease are also recommended by medical practitioners. Stretching can help keep your muscles toned and limber as well as keep your heart in good shape with exercise. If you have no experience with exercise of any form, it is best to start out slow to prevent any strain. Simple stretches can also help warm you up for any other exercise that you wish to do.

These exercises for elderly women with heart disease are great for keeping their bodies in shape and at the same time not as strenuous as other forms of exercises. Before starting any exercise, make sure your doctor is kept abreast with your plans of trying out a new exercise regimen of any sort or intensity level.

For all of you who have any medical, emotional or physical problems need to face the music. ONLY YOU CAN HEAL YOUR BODY!!!! You need to research holistic approaches and stick with them. You learn things from your parents and family that are not healthy. Take charge and eliminate all the soda, icecream, chips and replace with LIVE FOOD. Vegetables, nuts, omega 3 and berries. I was once depressed and had chronic fatigue along with a host of other problems. It was only when I decided to go against my doctors and go holistic. I am depressed and chronic fatigue free. For those of you who are ill and think there is no cure, read the Water cure and and seasalt remedy.

For the one's that are claiming you are FAT... and the one's that are complaining about junk food & etc... Hear this... I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, when, I was 15. I am now 41. Now, I am a full blown diabetic. I recently was bed bound for 9 months. I am now breaking down little by little. On top of that, since I did not take care of my hypoglycemic, I was diagnosed with schlerosis of the liver due to overweight and the diabetes taking over. Can anyone top that? You are right, you keep eating sweets, junk food and all the greasy foods. You will end up having cardio problems. This is one my other diagnosis. So, please take care of yourselves so, you won't have to leave your children and family one day. You can consider, my days are counted. FYI: When, my doctor told me... I cried for a week that my eyes looked like frog eyes. With prayers, my tears have been minimal. As I am telling you this, I am crying because it is so hard for me to know that I won't see my children grow up. YES, being active and staying away from pop and etc. it is a start. Oh, I was placed on a fat free diet and I lost 17 1/2 pounds in three weeks; perhaps my liver diagnosis will be reversed. Goodluck...

this is true i have an addiction to sugar and i know it. I eat candy, ice cream, fries, etc everyday and I just found out I am hypoglemic and am waiting for the results of the diabetes test. JUNK FOOD IS REALLY BAD FOR YOU TRUST ME i am only 15 and now have to deal with it for the rest of my life. I am active and everything I mean I am in the right weight range but my body fat is a lot higher than it should be. I need help

My Mother-in-law and I went on this fast for 3 1/2 days. I was leaving to come home, but I believe I could have done it a lot longer., the first two days were a little hard. Warming the water on the stove helped a LOT! I could tell my body was starting to cleanse. She is very knowledgeable, is 83, and in VERY good shape for her age! Anything you can do naturally to help your body is not crap - Sodas, Whoppers, and Greasy French Fries are Crap.
