Alternative Energy Sources Are Available
Our world is in great turmoil and many people think that it has to do with oil and the fact that certain people are trying to gain control of the world’s reserves. We have become so dependent on oil as an energy source that many people are making a killing financially because they know that humans need it in today’s society in order to survive. We use oil to power our cars, our boats, our planes and other things that need power. However, there is not an infinite amount of oil. One day, we will run out of oil and what will we do then? Will we be forced to live in the dark, without power, much like our ancestors did? Not necessarily, for there are alternative energy sources that are available that should be considered before we ever get to that point. How Many Alternative Energy Sources Are There?
There are quite a few alternative energy sources, the main ones being wind, water, solar and geothermal. That’s right, we can use all of these alternative energy sources and they won’t create the negative emissions that are commonly known to be produced by oil and coal, they are completely renewable, which means they can be used over and over and they are much cheaper than oil and gas because nobody has control over them. Therefore, no one person or entity or government can overcharge for them because wind, water, the sun and geothermal energy is already provided free of charge from the Earth itself and only needs to be harnessed.
We have become so dependent on oil, however, that only a few places have begun to adopt these alternative energy sources. While it’s true that there is enough oil and gas to last us for quite a while, and there’s still more under the Earth that we are still searching for, but we should be looking at alternative energy sources, if nothing else than to save the environment.
All of the negative emissions that result from oil, gas and coal are ruining our atmosphere, which could potentially poison our planet from extra solar radiation that is allowed to get through the depleted ozone layer, the layer of atmosphere that protects us from the sun’s harmful radiation. That’s why it is imperative that we make a move to employ alternative energy sources today before we find ourselves out of the precious resources we’ve become so reliant on.
