One type of diabetes is the Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus which is often called juvenile or insulin-dependent diabetes and it is chronic that takes place when the pancreas produces little amounts of insulin to regulate blood sugar levels appropriately. Up to now, there are still no cure for this type of diabetes and you may have symptoms of increased thirst and urination, weight loss even if you have increased appetite, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, and absence of menstruation for women. Like the Type 1 Diabetes, the Type 2 Diabetes also is insulin-related but unlike the Type 1 Diabetes, this is characterized by being resistant to insulin. This indicates that when your pancreas produce insulin, your pancreas could not process connect with fat and muscle cells to let glucose inside and produce energy which in turn causes hypoglycemia. And to compensate, your pancreas produces more and more insulin until you become even more resistant causing a vicious cycle of high glucose and insulin levels. There is also another type of diabetes that occurs during early childhood which is called the Juvenile Diabetes that destroys the beta cells that are insulin producers and usually leads to Type 1 Diabetes suddenly and progresses rapidly. For this type of Diabetes, they symptoms include frequent urination, unusual thirst craving for sweet drinks, hunger, weakness, fatigue, sudden weight loss, irritability, blurred vision or other alterations in eyesight, nausea, and vomiting.

Lastly, another type of Diabetes is the one that may occur to any woman during pregnancy which is called the Gestational Diabetes. The factors that contribute to Gestational Diabetes are women who have high risk of obesity, family history of diabetes, previous birth of a large infant, stillbirth, or a child that has a birth defect or someone who has too much amniotic acid or polyhydramnios. Women who are twenty-five years old or older are more prone than younger individuals.
