Celebrity fashion
Celebrity fashion has become somewhat of an obsession for the public and the media nowadays. Many people don't watch the award shows to see who is winning what awards, they want to see what everyone is wearing. The media can do entire hour-long shows over and over again on celebrity fashion. No matter what a celebrity is wearing, once it is in pictures and in the media, people will want to be buying whatever it is they are wearing. The problem with that becomes the fact that the celebrity fashion choices are usually way too expensive. Normal people cannot find the extra financing to purchase such fashion items, so they may settle for something generic that simply mimics their expensive tastes. Magazines have tons of articles and pages devoted to nothing but celebrity fashion. They give tips on how to dress like a celebrity, how to get their outfits on a lower scale budget and even criticize how celebrity fashion can end up in disasters. Let's face it, people are crazy about celebrity fashion. They figure that if they see their favorite celebrity wearing a particular outfit, that means it is stylish. Celebrities wear the most beautiful gowns to events and award shows but they don't actually own them. At least, not the majority of them. The designers will send their designs and dresses to celebrities in order to get them to wear them and have the publicity. That's how important celebrity fashion has become. Designers utilize public appearances for advertisements. If a celebrity looks like a knockout in a particular dress, it doesn't mean that I'm in a hurry to run out and buy that dress by that designer. It simply means I admire it. It also doesn't mean that I'm more likely to wear a particular
designer simply because someone famous was wearing it. Celebrity fashion doesn't make me want to buy anything in particular.
People have been intrigued by celebrity fashion for years and years. They will frequent the boutiques and stores that their favorite celebrity shops at. Some extreme fans of celebrity fashion will accumulate credit cards of debt just to get the same outfits that a particular person was wearing on a show or in a magazine. To those overly obsessed people, I say, get a life. There are many more important things in the world than celebrity fashion and trying to look like them. Just because you wear something that they worn in public doesn't mean you're going to suddenly turn into them or become famous yourself. Sure, you may look like you have more money than you do have, but you don't have the same checking account that celebrities do in order to pay things off.
