Let's just hope that you pick the right one from the get-go. This certainly makes life a little easier once you've graduated. During my college years I sure met a lot of individuals striving for their teaching degrees. My brother and his wife being a couple of them. It seems that oodles of people want to teach these days. This is not a bad thing by any means. My only concern is finding work. Are there enough teaching positions open? Well, one thing you can do in addition to your four year degree is take classes in professional development for teachers.

One thing I do know and understand regarding the job market these days is competition. There is an unbelievable amount of it. And I'm not just talking about in the major cities. I am referring to everywhere. Take your pick of any state in the U.S. I'll bet you encounter a competitive market. It's virtually impossible not to. There are roughly six billion people walking this planet and it's growing. Do you really think it's just going to be you out there looking for a job? Of course not.
