They have worked long and hard and hopefully they have saved up enough money so that they can go wherever they'd like to go and do whatever it is they'd like to do. The baby boomer generation have many options when it comes to retirement. The hardest part is leaving behind their careers and their coworkers who many think of as dear friends and a part of their lives.

When the baby boomer generation thinks about retirement, this can be a huge step. The best way to go about it is just to plan for it and execute it. Tell your employers that you plan on retiring and give them a date. It's scary for the baby boomer generation to think about retiring but you don't want to work for the rest of your life. You've worked long enough.
