The Women In Film Crystal Awards

The Women in Film Crystal Awards were established in 1977 in Los Angeles by Tichi Wilkerson Kassel, the former Publisher and Editor of ‘The Hollywood Reporter’. They were set up so as to honor and congratulate outstanding women who have contributed to the expansion of the role of women in the film industry. Since then, the Women in Film Crystal Awards have become one of the most highly respected and popular ceremonies in the entertainment world. Usually, around 1500 celebrities, business executives, top entertainment professionals, media and public attend each ceremony and, like any popular American ceremony, it is usually a high-profile, star-studded event that is sold out within days. The location for the event varies from year to year but is usually held at one of the top Hotels in America.

About the Women In Film Organization

Women in Film is a non-profit organization that has more than 10,000 members in nearly 44 affiliated chapters throughout the world. The Women in Film Crystal Awards not only congratulate women who have expanded and contributed to their role in the industry but contributes and supports women that have the potential to succeed. Over the past 25 years, the Women in Film organization has worked hard to do this through educational programs, scholarships as well as practical services all designed to promote and guide women to reach their full potential. Women in Film has also contributed to other non-profit groups through producing award-winning Public Service Announcements that they may not have been able to fund themselves otherwise.

Support and Workshops

Members of the Women in Film organization have access to a number of areas of support so as to assist them in becoming the best they can be. These include workshops designed to educate women on areas such as marketing, developing better networking skills, building creativity, developing self-niches, getting auditions and self-promotion. It teaches others how to get in and learn more areas about the entertainment industry without spending ridiculous amounts of money, working independently and getting in with the best producers and companies. As well as this, it helps women become more aware of the industry itself, so that they have a better chance of making it to the top. The Women in Film Crystal Awards are therefore the icing on the cake to many women who may benefit greatly from this organization, whether they receive a crystal award or not.
