My 2 year old son ate 1 bite of pineapple and had a horrible reaction, throat swelling, red rash, hives, breathing, vomiting, chills, he lost his voice. I took him immeditly to the doctor and he was given shots to stop the attack. He is fine but what a wake up call. I wish my docotr would have told me to watch out for topical fruits when I was warned about nuts, eggs and soy. That inoformation would ahve help me out.
